Jersey Black Arches Nola chlamitulalis

Wingspan c. 18mm.
First recorded on Jersey, in 1963, this species has recently appeared in a number of places around the south coast. One turned up at Epping Forest in Essex in 2004 and another in Dorset in 2005.
The adults are relatively plainly-marked, with a rusty band along the outer wing edge, containing a row of dark blotches.
