Acrolepiopsis marcidella

Wingspan c. 14mm.

Until 1997 there had only been a handful of records of this species, mostly from the 19th century, with one in 1986. In 1997 it was discovered in Dorset and has since been found in Hampshire.

The larval foodplant is butcher's-broom (Ruscus aculeatus).

Adult moths fly in June and July.
