Hullo again. Would you be so kind as to link your site with that of the Friends of Pagham Harbour? Thanks very much. Best regards, Lawrence.

What a superb site, well done.
I am currently building my own personal (non-commercial) site. May I use the photo of Yellow Wave and include a link to your site? Many thanks.

Great Site. Nice to see live moths. Quite a novelty in mothing circles!

This is a really superb site that I stumbled on via the Kent Butterfly site. I am a real novice and am concentrating on macros. It is really useful to have a photographic resource plus background information so readily to hand. I am mothing using a 100W UV in Boreham, near Chelmsford, Essex, UK

your site is interesting for me because I collect
and stude Noctuidae and geometridae paleactic.
I'am very interested on the nodic species.
Elizabeth Braid - 11 April 2001
Very interesting. I am trying to find out about a moth which was on my jacket after I had been working near ivy last year. I say 'moth' but I'm afraid my knowledge is sadly lacking about so many of the wonderful creatures which surround us.

May I include your Web Site' address on my 'own' Friends of Pagham Harbour Site, please?
The Friends' Web Site is only in draft form at the moment, but if you would like to have a look at it, please do so.

Hello!
I would like to first congratulate you on creating a fabulous web site. I am the biology technician at Wigan & Leigh College in Lancashire currently studying part-time for a single honours degree at Bolton Institute of Higher Education. I am approaching the final year of my studies and am interested in carrying out my dissertation on moths. However, I am a little stuck on what kind of research to carry out, do you have any ideas or ongoing research I can conrtibute to from the Wigan/Bolton area?

Thanks

Brilliant photography, if you are intending to publish in any form put me down for a copy. I have passable pictures of Blairs Wainscot and Speckled Footman and Stenoptilia zophodactylus if you are interested, I could send jpeg copies if you like.
Best wishes
Chris Manley

I like what I've seen so far although my primary interest is butterflies rather than moths. I don't run a moth trap currently although I intend to start again soon. Great pictures !!
Mark Young - 19 February 2001
Really enjoyable site! Well done!

Please will you add a notice warning people not to rely on the site for identifications, however, because you still have many missing. The person who identified A. arenella may be right but there are other similar species not yet included. I am not trying to be a wet blanket but merely trying to be cautious and helpful.

Keep up the good work!

Just discovered your excellent site. Found a Pale Brindled Beauty this morning and confirmed it's identification by your photo.
Graham Stevens - 11 February 2001
Very interesring and usfull, especially as most of the species covered can also be found here in Spain. It's also usefull, for descriptive work when showing my Spanish collegues, variations, and species that they are not awhare of.

Marvellous site. It has just helped me identify Agonopterix arenella from my garden in Hampshire. I have had several coming to house lights over the last few nights. AES web site suggested id and where to find your pictures. Many thanks. Paul

Danke
Jeff Clarke - 15 January 2001
Excellent images. I have recently taken up of moth photography. Dont think mine compare very well but if I have any species you require I would be happy to let you use them.
Ken Matthews - 12 January 2001
This is a great site for expert but for me it failed in a search for Swallowtail. As a non expert I wanted some means of finding individual moths or groups by common names, where these exist. I photograph various insects including Dragonflies, Butterflies and Moths but very weak on latin names of Moths! Too many to remember!
